Vallarelli named new GHS Head Girls Lacrosse Coach


GHS Athletic Director Gus Lindine recently announced Rachel Vallarelli as the new head coach of the Greenwich High School Girls Lacrosse Program.

Vallarelli comes to GHS after coaching at Fresno State, Villanova and Wagner.  While coaching in the college ranks she coached a Rookie of the Year, 5 All Conference players, nationally ranked players and school record holders.  Rachel is currently a professional lacrosse goalie playing for the Baltimore Ride. 

While at The University of Massachusetts-Amherst she was a 3 year starter and holds various NCAA, A-10 and U Mass records. Vallarelli has also been involved with Team USA since 2010.  In additions to coaching at GHS and playing professionally, she is currently the Director of Girls Lacrosse at Chelsea Piers CT and the Head Coach of the 2022 team for SoundCrosse Lacrosse Club.  Prior to attending U Mass, she graduated from School of the Holy Child in Rye, New York.
