Tara Clough

Varsity Head Coach

Coach Clough joined the Cardinals in September 2019 to prepare for her inaugural season with the program in 2020.  Previously, she was head varsity coach at Sacred Heart Academy (Greenwich) for 5 years, where she led the Tigers to FAA Championship titles in 2017, 2018 and 2019 and an 18-1 record and national ranking in 2019.  Clough was a multi-sport athlete in New Canaan and went on to play lacrosse at Notre Dame, where she was part of the program's launch and elected team captain.  She began her coaching career as a volunteer assistant at Boston College and currently coaches with the CT Grizzlies lacrosse club.  In 2020, she coached the CONNY Under Armour All-American Command Division team, comprised of 2023-24 graduates, to a national championship.

Pete Simpson

JV Head Coach

Coach Simpson has been coaching women's lacrosse for the past 20+ years of which the past 12 have been at Greenwich High School. Simpson works locally in real estate and was part of the start-up program at Brunswick where he played football and hockey.  Simpson spent two years playing hockey with the Lake Placid Roamers and attended Babson where he played hockey and lacrosse.

Dan Goggin

Freshman Head Coach

Coach Goggin played football, hockey and lacrosse at Phillips Academy before attending Dartmouth College, where he played hockey.  He has coached youth hockey and lacrosse in Greenwich for over 20 years.  He is the proud father of 4 children, including Jennifer and Bobby Goggin who both won CIAC championships in lacrosse at Greenwich High School.  Unofficially, Jenny and Bobby are the only brother-sister pairs to win GHS lacrosse championships (yet!).
